SleepBox SukhumVit 22 Bangkok

SleepBox is very unique in its own ways. This is  a 5-story building made of red containers. I found this property quite interesting. So I took the opportunity to stay here for 2 nights during my business trip in BKK. SleepBox is a hostel that offers both shared room and private room. They even have a nice glass elevator for guests and a big common room on 2nd floor! Shared kitchen is on ground floor with basic kitchen utensils.

Location is not too hard to find but it's quite far [approx 800meters to main Sukhumvit Rd]. They do have TukTuk service to drop you off but on the way back to hotel you can either walk or use motorcycle taxi. During my stay, there was no service since the driver had an accident. So, that's unfortunate. But we didn't have any rain during our stays. So, it wasn't too bad walking in the neighborhood.

Room is small [22sq.m] but nice and clean. I stayed in private room which cost about 1000THB. I love all the pictures hung in the room and the view of Bangkok skyline at night is very beautiful. But the noise was very loud at night even at one or two AM! It was loud enough to disturb my sleep. This is the major problem I think they should do something about.

Staff - I'd say some are very friendly and welcoming but some are just sitting there doing nothing except talking to each other and chatting on their phones.

Complimentary wifi and light breakfast are a plus. Breakfast options are bread-jam, coffee, cook it yourself egg station [only for weekends]. The sad part is that many guests didn't clean up what they used so the sink was filled with dirty pans, mugs, and dishes. I mean they put a sign in English and Chinese......please at least read and help them clean!

Overall experience is mostly positive and I would consider revisit again next time. For solo traveller, dorm is the best option for budget. For two or more, I recommend staying in private room since you will have your own mini-fridge, television and more space.

You can't go wrong with King River View Suite at Millennium Hilton Bangkok

We were here to celebrate my dad's birthday. And we did have a great time at Millennium Hilton. First of all, this hotel is HUGE. It's like a big amusement park for adults. There are so many good things to do inside this property. So no need to worry if it rains or not.

I booked King Panoramic River Suite which comes with Executive Lounge access, panoramic river and city view, 67 sq. m./720 sq. ft., big living room and choice to have breakfast either at lounge on 31st floor or at Flow restaurant on ground floor.

This room is so big compare to basic room and there are only 4 rooms on each floor [2 is King River View and 2 is King Panoramic River View] Like others mentioned about dated room and furniture but it's still in a good shape and very clean. I recommend this room because the view is absolutely worth the price.

This room type was reviewed by LoyaltyLobby who made an awesome video and stayed in May 2017.

Club lounge is nice since it's on the top floor so the view is just breath taking. However, the food quality during happy hours is somehow disappointing....very basic and limited. Even cocktails and wine choices are way too basic in my opinion. Afternoon tea snacks are yummy, however.

Canape during evening was too simple.....with Thai style noodle dish "Pad See Eaw" and spicy fish cake "Tod Mun Pla". I'd love to see more options during happy hours since there were many guests who prefer international options as well.

There are limited cocktail choices compare to what they offered in the past. But staff are very attentive and friendly. One Night in Bangkok is highly recommended by the way.

Fitness is good and guests can use it 24/7. Swimming pool has amazing panoramic view from on 4th floor. There are 3 private jacuzzi near the main pool. This is my favorite feature on the property. It gives resort feel and the ambience is very relaxing.

Shuttle boat service is very enjoyable. Service is first come first serve basis. The boat comes every 30 minutes or so. Staff are friendly, too.

Amazing River View on 31st floor. Seatings can be a problem during peak hours. Outdoor seatings are pretty nice in the morning.

So I can understand why there are some complaints. But if you stay in Suite, I think the panoramic view will make you forget little missing things here and there. We did have a good time and overall stay is great! And I would love to be back when ICON SIAM project is complete.

Room Tip: High floor has better view and view toward Emerald temple has better view
